Truck Driver Training

Central Queensland certified driver training for all licence classes. We offer accredited truck driving courses to prepare drivers of all skill levels.

All heavy vehicle licensing requires the completion of a Heavy Vehicle Theory test directly with Qld Transport. You can see some practice questions here.

(LR) Light Rigid

Training can be provided for this licence class, however as it’s not highly sought after, you would need to provide a truck for this.

(HRB) Heavy Rigid B Condition licence (Automatic / Synchromesh)

This class is a great option for people that are wanting to get licenced a little faster & are not required to obtain the unconditional HR licence. ‘B’ condition meaning you’re only able to drive HR/MR/LR automatic or with a synchromesh transmission. Training for this licence class is performed in a 2013 Volvo Tipper with an automatic transmission. To be eligible for the B condition, you must have held a manual provisional licence or open car licence for a minimum of 2 years. If you complete this test, possessing an automatic car licence only you will only receive an HR automatic licence (HRA). This test can be completed in half a day for $866 which includes:
  • 3 hours training
  • Practical test vehicle hire
  • Practical test booking fee
Upon completion, you can legally operate all HR, MR & LR trucks with synchromesh & automatic transmissions. We have a  98% test pass rate with students completing this class.
